Easi-fit breakaway cable with carabiner at both ends
Length 1000mm (39 in ) , tip of carabiner to tip of other carabiner.
Very easy to fit to most couplings , ideal to replace in a emergency at side of the road as you need no tools.
Fits most braked couplings.
UK Law requires that all trailer and caravans with brakes built on or after 1/10/82 are fitted with a safety device to provide protection in the unlikely event of the separation of the coupling while in motion.
The purpose of a breakaway cable is to apply the trailers brakes if it becomes separated from the towing vehicle. Having done this, the cable assembly is designed to part, allowing the trailer to come to a halt away from the towing vehicle.
