Extra long heavy duty breakaway cable

This cable is the same as the BRADLEY cables but 150mm longer and a bigger carabiner

Cable length 1100mm ( 3ft 7in )
Carabiner 80mm end to end

Fits most braked couplings.

UK Law requires that all trailer and caravans with brakes built on or after 1/10/82 are fitted with a safety device to provide protection in the unlikely event of the separation of the coupling while in motion.

The purpose of a breakaway cable is to apply the trailers brakes if it becomes separated from the towing vehicle. Having done this, the cable assembly is designed to part, allowing the trailer to come to a halt away from the towing vehicle.
